About This Song

“Nakupa Moyo Wangu” is a Bongo Flava collaboration between Tanzanian artists Diamond Platnumz and Mr Blue from Diamond’s album Kamwambie. Sung primarily in Swahili, the romantic track centers on giving one’s heart completely to a loved one and asking that the relationship be protected from outside interference. Diamond’s melodic delivery is complemented by Mr Blue’s contribution, bringing together Bongo Flava and hip-hop influences from Tanzania’s music scene.
