About This Song
Cheza is the forty-first track from Tanzanian singer and songwriter Ibraah's 2026 album 1B (The Other Side of the Face). The Swahili word Cheza translates to "Dance" or "Play" in English. The title is associated with movement, entertainment and enjoyment, reflecting expressions commonly found in East African popular music. However, the song's specific lyrical message and musical arrangement have not been independently verified. Following Mabomu, Cheza continues Ibraah's extensive 50-track album, adding another solo recording to his contemporary Bongo Flava and Afro-Pop catalog.
