About This Song
Naumwa is the eleventh track from Tanzanian singer and songwriter Ibraah's 2026 album 1B (The Other Side of the Face), featuring fellow Tanzanian artist Yammi. The Swahili title Naumwa translates to "I'm Hurting" or "I'm in Pain," evoking emotions associated with heartbreak, vulnerability and personal struggles. The collaboration brings together two voices from Tanzania's contemporary Bongo Flava music scene. As the first featured collaboration in the album's working track sequence, Naumwa marks a transition from the opening solo performances into the collaborative section of Ibraah's 50-track project.
