About This Song
Wazungu is the forty-eighth track from Tanzanian singer and songwriter Ibraah's 2026 album 1B (The Other Side of the Face). The Swahili word Wazungu is the plural form of Mzungu, a term commonly used in East Africa to refer to white people or people of European origin. Depending on context, the term may also be used more broadly to refer to foreigners. However, the song's specific lyrical message and intended use of the title have not been independently verified. Following Kamdomo, Wazungu is among the final recordings on Ibraah's extensive 50-track album, contributing to his catalog of contemporary Tanzanian Bongo Flava and Afro-Pop music.
