About This Song
“Kamaliza” is a 2021 song by Tanzanian singer Harmonize featuring Sholo Mwamba, released as the nineteenth track from High School. The collaboration brings Harmonize together with the energetic Singeli sound associated with Sholo Mwamba. Sung in Swahili, the song humorously comments on people who become overly proud or act as though they have “made it” because of money, appearance, social-media popularity, relationships or social status. Its fast-paced, dance-oriented delivery gives High School a distinctly Tanzanian Singeli moment.
