About This Song
“Mtaje” is a 2021 song by Tanzanian singer Harmonize from his second studio album, High School. Built around playful Swahili lyrics, Harmonize sings about being attracted to a woman he has admired for years, praising her appearance and personality while joking about age, love and the attention she receives from others. The recurring “mtaje” refrain—roughly asking those who know her to mention her—gives the song its memorable hook. Shazam credits Harmonize as the songwriter.
