About This Song
“Cheche” is an unplugged song by Tanzanian singer Zuchu from her 2021 EP Zuchu Unplugged. The track presents a stripped-back interpretation of “Cheche,” placing greater emphasis on Zuchu’s vocals and playful romantic songwriting. Sung primarily in Swahili with touches of English and other expressions, the song uses images of sweetness, attraction and dancing to describe the excitement and chemistry between two lovers. Produced by Rody Joh, this unplugged version offers a more intimate take on one of Zuchu’s popular early songs.
