Zuchu Unplugged is a five-track EP by Tanzanian singer and songwriter Zuchu, released in March 2021 through WCB Wasafi. The project presents unplugged interpretations of songs associated with Zuchu’s early career, placing greater emphasis on her vocals and a more stripped-back musical approach. The EP features “Nobody,” “Cheche,” “Litawachoma,” “Number One” and “Sukari.” Produced by Rody Joh, the project revisits some of Zuchu’s popular early releases in an unplugged setting and highlights the melodic songwriting and Swahili vocals that helped establish her within Tanzania’s contemporary Bongo Flava and Afro-Pop scene.
