“Kama Wengine” is a collaboration by Tanzanian artists D Voice and Diamond Platnumz from D Voice’s 2023 debut album Swahili Kid. Built around energetic Singeli delivery and humorous social commentary, the song challenges people who present themselves as different or morally superior while behaving much like everyone else. D Voice and Diamond use playful, provocative Swahili lyrics to address hypocrisy, relationships and everyday social behaviour. Produced by JM and Good, “Kama Wengine” brings together D Voice’s Singeli roots and Diamond Platnumz’s distinctive Bongo Flava presence.
