Lolo

About This Song

“Lolo” is a song by Tanzanian artist D Voice from his 2023 debut album Swahili Kid. The track looks back on a relationship after a breakup, with D Voice delivering a playful and defiant response to a former partner while reflecting on how people remember each other after separating. Rather than presenting the breakup purely through sadness, the song uses humor, confidence and energetic delivery to portray someone determined to move forward. “Lolo” combines relationship storytelling with the lively character of D Voice’s Singeli-influenced style.
